Lamine Yamal's Goal Seals Hard-Fought Win
Barcelona are back into second place in the La Liga table with three games to go thanks to a hard-fought 2-0 win over Real Sociedad at the Olympic Stadium.
Teenage winger Lamine Yamal scored the only goal of the game in the first half, firing home from close range after good work from Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona controlled the game for long periods, but Real Sociedad had their chances and could have leveled in the second half.
However, Barcelona held on to secure all three points and move back into second place, two points ahead of Real Madrid. Real Sociedad remain in fifth place, four points behind Atletico Madrid in the race for the Champions League places.
The win was Barcelona's fourth in a row in all competitions and will give them a boost ahead of their final three games of the season. They travel to Getafe next weekend before hosting Villarreal and then finishing the campaign with a trip to Eibar.
Real Sociedad, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back when they host Valencia next weekend. They will then travel to Celta Vigo before finishing the season at home to Real Betis.
